Vacuum clamping is particularly useful for clamping flat, shape-complex workpieces during milling and drilling. The vacuum clamping system consists of a vacuum source with a reservoir and a universal clamping plate.
A two-stage oil pump connected to an air reservoir is used as a vacuum source. The system is equipped with a vacuum valve that starts the vacuum only when the vacuum drops, which significantly reduces energy requirements and wear of the vacuum.
The vacuum plate is made with high precision from Al alloy. The high density of the channels enables the clamping of even very small parts. The clamping surface is provided with blind holes for placing stop pins. This makes setting up parts very easy. The plate is equipped with a control tap.
